Volunteers are an active part of Western Lake Superior Habitat for Humanity's success: they make possible the building and repairing of homes in our area.
By volunteering with WLSHFH you are making an active difference in your community:
Find the right volunteer opportunity for you
We are always looking for volunteers on our work sites to think creatively, problem solve, and work with a group to build a home. Projects vary over the course of the build, but can include: framing, window installation, sheetrock, siding, landscaping, painting, and stuccoing.
Office volunteers keep our administrative tasks running smoothly! You can be involved in data entry, filing, preparing mailings, designing marketing materials, and writing the monthly e-newsletter.
Committees form part of the governance of WLSHFH. Our committees include Construction and Site Selection, Family Selection and Support, Marketing and Development, and Finance, and meet on a monthly basis.
Food Prep Volunteer
Get a group together and provide a service everyone loves: food! We are looking for food prep volunteers to either bring snacks to a build site, or host a group. This is a perfect opportunity for a congregation to get involved.
