Volunteer

Here at Western Lake Superior Habitat for Humanity, volunteers are our heart and backbone. Time and time again, our community has supported us through countless hours of volunteering, both on build-sites and off. Thank you to all of our dedicated past and current volunteers!

Why Volunteer?

  • Benefit your career: Employers are more likely to hire a candidate with volunteer experience over an equally qualified candidate without volunteer experience

  • Make new friends: build personal contacts, develop communication skills, and share your skills with others.

  • Love Yourself: Studies show people who volunteer live longer and hold higher levels of self-confidence. By making a difference, having fun, and feeling appreciated it's clear to see why this finding is true.

  • Make a Difference, Locally: Volunteers make a real difference in their own communities. Here at WLS Habitat for Humanity, volunteers are currently building homes in Duluth and Superior, and repairing homes in Duluth, Two Harbors, Cloquet, and Douglas county.

Current Volunteer Positions

We don't just build houses! There are a variety of volunteer opportunities vital to helping our organization run smoothly. Volunteers aren't limited to one area either. Our construction team can occasionally help out in the office, and vice versa. We want everyone to have a chance to get their hands dirty (or not) if they choose.
